Updating your Visual Studio plugin now allows access to an integrated, ChatGPT-like experience within the IDE, enhanced with codebase awareness, providing a powerful tool for AI assistance. This integration facilitates tasks such as explaining code, generating docstrings and unit tests, translating between languages, and refactoring functions. Codeium Chat, which is already widely used by developers for sending numerous chat messages daily, is being expanded to more users across different IDEs, including the popular Visual Studio, especially favored by enterprise customers due to its enhanced context awareness. Despite the differences in APIs between Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code, the integration now offers users the advantages of both Autocomplete and Chat functionalities in Visual Studio.
