In January, significant updates and new features were introduced to Windsurf and Codeium for Enterprise, alongside enhancements to Cascade, which included improvements in web search, memory retention, and developer experience. The month was marked by a successful Launch Day that introduced three new models—DeepSeek-R1, DeepSeek-V3, and o3-mini—making Cascade the first coding agent to utilize R1. These updates allow for a more personalized AI interaction through Cascade's Auto-Generated Memories (Beta), which adapts to user coding styles without consuming credits. Other improvements included better precision in code edits, reduced input lag, enhanced handling of tool calls, and fixed bugs in the Find Tool.
