Codeium has introduced a new capability that allows users to search entire code repositories using natural language, elevating it beyond a mere code completion tool. This feature is currently available on VSCode for Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Go files, with plans to expand both the supported languages and IDEs. The upcoming public release of the underlying Search API will facilitate the creation of further integrations and novel applications interfacing with repository-wide embedding stores. Recent updates include using additional files as context for autocomplete, improved performance on Windows, and bug fixes related to Avast antivirus and files with CRLF line endings. Users are encouraged to test the new Codeium Search and provide feedback on their experience.
