Changelist: December 2024

December saw a series of updates to Windsurf and Codeium for Enterprise, focusing on improving various features and addressing user feedback. Enhancements included the introduction of Windsurf Pyright as a robust alternative to Pylance for better Python language support, and improvements in Cascade's undo/redo functionality for full-file and workspace-wide actions. Additional updates included improved handling of edits in chat mode on Windows, one-time installation checks for Windsurf Pyright, and configurable output token length for diagnostics. Codeium's functionality was disabled in the Python Debugger Console to reduce distractions, and improvements in match quality and latency for @mentions and completions were also made. As the year ends, Windsurf plans to continue innovating with upcoming features like collaborative workflows, advanced predictive tools, and expanded IDE integrations, with more updates anticipated in 2025.
