Webflow achieves ISO 42001 certification for AI governance
Blog post from Webflow
Webflow announced that it has obtained ISO 42001 certification, an international standard for the responsible development, deployment, and management of artificial intelligence systems. Following an independent Schellman audit, the company documented and assessed its AI practices across risk management, impact evaluations, data governance, accountability, and ongoing oversight. Webflow says it also adapted its agile software development lifecycle into an agentic development lifecycle, aiming to use AI to accelerate development while adding security guardrails and richer contextual assessments. The certification is presented as evidence of Webflow’s commitment to responsible AI governance, particularly for customers in regulated industries or those with vendor compliance requirements, while acknowledging that governance practices will need to evolve alongside regulations.
