Introducing Enterprise Granular Access Control
Blog post from Webflow
Webflow has introduced granular access control features designed for enterprise teams, allowing them to manage permissions across CMS collections, site pages, and language versions without complicating the existing role-based access system. Initially, CMS collection access was launched in September 2025, enabling teams to restrict editing to specific collections, followed by page-level access in February 2026, which allowed control over static content on high-impact pages. The latest update introduces locale-specific access, ensuring regional teams can edit only their designated language versions of the site. This multi-layered system addresses the challenges of managing large teams by preventing unauthorized edits, reducing reliance on informal communication like Slack messages, and maintaining a streamlined role model that avoids the complexity and confusion of multiplying roles, ultimately fostering a more collaborative and confident editing environment in Webflow.
