How ZOE uses Webflow to visualize a virus
Blog post from Webflow
In March 2020, ZOE, a UK-based health science company, launched a pioneering COVID Symptom Study to better understand the virus's behavior by gathering data from over 4.5 million global participants. The study, a nonprofit initiative, utilizes a mobile app where users log their symptoms, test results, and vaccine information, paired with Webflow landing pages to display real-time data. Developed in just four days, the app quickly gained public trust, amassing 1.5 million users within the first 36 hours. To disseminate the insights dynamically, ZOE used Webflow to create interactive sites, while other companies contributed software to support the effort. Within the first two weeks, the study enabled academic institutions, researchers, and the public to identify virus spread trends. Today, anonymized data is shared with internal data scientists and the UK's SAIL Databank, with approximately 40 research institutions worldwide accessing it to further their research initiatives.
