Weaviate 1.14 has been released, offering improved reliability, monitoring, observability, support for non-cosine distances, and updated API endpoints. The release includes over 25 bug fixes, with highlights such as a critical bug fix in compaction logic, significantly improved performance for large scale data imports, drastically improved Mean-Time-To-Recovery (MTTR), and the addition of support for L2 and Dot Product distances. Additionally, Weaviate now exposes Prometheus-compatible metrics for monitoring, allowing users to create visual dashboards for various aspects of their Weaviate instance in production.
