Weave Router 2.0 is a routing tool for coding agents that classifies request complexity and directs tasks to models or provider subscriptions intended to balance quality, cost, and speed. Its new features include a classifier trained on ten times more agentic coding-session data, cache-aware model switching to avoid unnecessary context-rebuilding costs, task monitoring that escalates stalled work to frontier models, and routing across subscriptions such as Claude and GPT services. In paired two-attempt tests on Terminal-Bench 4.0 and SWE-Atlas Codebase QnA, the company reports quality results comparable to GPT-6 Astra within overlapping confidence intervals while costing 46–52% as much and completing trials 2.2–2.5 times faster. Unlike general-purpose gateways and per-request routers, Weave emphasizes session-level cache state, escalation during task execution, and use of existing flat-rate subscriptions. It is available as a hosted or self-hosted, source-available product under the Elastic License 2.0, with pricing for solo developers and startups set at 5% of routed costs.
