How we designed themes for the terminal - a peek into our process
Blog post from Warp
Warp is an advanced terminal emulator with a focus on customization and theming. The platform aims to provide compatibility with existing themes while offering easy customization and sharing options. Warp's theming system is built upon the standard foundation of 16 ANSI colors, allowing for seamless integration with virtually any terminal theme. In addition to this core color system, an accent color attribute has been added to enhance UI elements like tab indicators and block selections. The platform also supports photo backgrounds, gradients, and a user-friendly theme editor for further customization. Warp is working towards creating a one-stop shop for themes, allowing users to browse, install, and share their creations with ease.
