Vultr Joins the Agentic AI Foundation to Advance Open, Interoperable Agentic AI
Blog post from Vultr
Vultr has joined the Agentic AI Foundation as a Gold member to support open standards and open-source technologies for deploying agentic AI in production. The company argues that production agents require an interoperable, composable stack spanning open protocols such as MCP and A2A, AI frameworks including PyTorch, vLLM, and Ray, Kubernetes-based orchestration, and underlying compute, storage, networking, security, and observability. Vultr positions its cloud GPUs, CPUs, Kubernetes service, bare metal, and networking products as infrastructure supporting these layers, emphasizing that agentic workloads depend on more than GPUs alone. The announcement highlights AAIF projects such as MCP, goose, AGENTS.md, agentgateway, A2A, and Agent Router, while noting that enterprises need governance over agent identities, permissions, actions, monitoring, and data access. Vultr frames its membership as part of a broader effort to give developers and organizations flexibility to choose and replace models, frameworks, infrastructure, and tools without dependence on a single provider.
