New: Vultr NVMe Block Storage Performance Improvements

Vultr has announced enhancements to its NVMe Block Storage, offering improved performance while maintaining the same cost of $0.10/GB/month. The upgrades include increased performance limits, with the storage now supporting up to 10,000 IOPS and 400 MB/s throughput per attached block volume, up from 7,500 IOPS and 300 MB/s. These improvements have been applied to existing customer deployments, though reattachment of storage volumes may be necessary to access the new limits if they were attached before October 8. Additionally, Vultr has introduced an activity burst feature allowing performance to temporarily exceed limits by 50% for up to 60 seconds, requiring a subsequent period of reduced activity to recharge. These enhancements underscore Vultr's commitment to providing high-performance, reliable, and low-latency storage solutions.
