Q4 2024: Vonage Developer Recap

Vonage experienced significant growth and innovation in 2024, highlighted by the release of over 100 articles and videos, the attendance of 75+ developer events globally, and the launch of a new suite of Network APIs. The company introduced a revamped Vonage Python SDK v4, which features Pydantic models for data validation and enhanced error handling, and a new Kotlin SDK that leverages Kotlin’s strengths for cleaner, expressive interaction with Vonage APIs. The Network Enablement API was also launched to improve frontend authentication and reduce latency for mobile workflows, while RCS Business Messaging achieved general availability within the Vonage Messages API, marking a shift from traditional SMS. Additionally, the community page was redesigned to enhance access to resources and foster engagement, setting the stage for continued advancements in 2025.
