New Video Connector SDK & Pipecat Transport for AI Video Apps

Vonage has introduced two new Python-based tools, the Video Connector Server SDK and Vonage Video Transport for Pipecat, to simplify the integration of AI workflows into real-time video applications. These tools make it easier for developers to create intelligent, media-aware applications by allowing seamless streaming of audio and video between Vonage Video sessions and AI frameworks such as OpenAI and Deepgram. The Video Connector SDK serves as a server-side WebRTC client, eliminating the need for C++ expertise, while Pipecat provides a modular platform for orchestrating complex AI workflows. Together, they enable real-time AI functionalities like speech-to-text, emotion detection, and live language translation, streamlining the development of AI-powered video agents without requiring intricate media handling or WebRTC knowledge.
