The Vonage Protection Suite for Okta is a self-service, plug-and-play connector available on the Vonage Cloud Runtime Marketplace, designed to enhance the delivery of One-Time Passwords (OTPs) by integrating Vonage's OTP delivery and fraud prevention capabilities directly into the Okta Identity Engine. This connector intercepts Okta's Telephony Inline Hooks to deliver OTPs through SMS or voice using Vonage Verify, with features like automatic channel fallback, intelligent routing across over 200 countries, and built-in fraud protection, including SMS pumping protection, geographic permissions, and velocity controls. Before delivering an OTP, the connector allows optional pre-delivery security checks via Identity Insights, such as number validation and carrier lookup, to ensure the integrity and security of the authentication process. Okta remains the verification authority, generating and validating the OTP while Vonage facilitates its secure delivery, offering a streamlined, global authentication solution with real-time fraud protection and intelligent number insights.
