Vectara’s free tier; what can you *really* build?

Vectara's free tier allows users to add LLM-powered search to almost any single website on the internet, index the equivalent of 7 copies of Tolstoy's War and Peace, or 17,000 minutes of audio transcription. The free tier starts with 50MB of Account Size and 15,000 free Queries per Month, which is equivalent to a certain amount of text storage capacity. This translates to the ability to index around 9,000 pages of text, or more than 7 full copies of War and Peace, as well as over 17,000 minutes of call recordings. The available Account Size can be used for storing extracted and compressed text from documents, but not images, objects that describe text, or file formatting specifications. If the user exceeds the available capacity, they will need to expand their account size by requesting additional capacity, which can be done through Vectara's Growth Plan or Scale Plan subscriptions.
