Vantage Launches Usage-Based Reporting

Vantage has announced the general availability of Usage-Based Reporting, allowing its customers to view their infrastructure consumption in non-monetary metrics, such as virtual machine running hours or stored gigabytes, across major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle. This new feature enables users to toggle between cost and usage views directly in Vantage Cost Reports, facilitating a more nuanced understanding of how consumption correlates with invoiced spend. Previously, users had to manually export and analyze data from each provider, a process that was time-consuming and error-prone. Usage-Based Reporting provides real-time insights and integrates with existing Vantage functionalities, such as Virtual Tags, to allow for more precise and customizable reporting. This enhancement aims to help users optimize their cloud infrastructure costs by leveraging usage insights, historical data, and additional features like discounted pricing and archival tiering without incurring extra costs for this functionality.
