Vantage Launches On-Prem Support for Kubernetes Agent
Blog post from Vantage
Vantage has introduced On-Prem Support for its Kubernetes Agent, enabling customers to track and allocate costs for Kubernetes deployments within their own data centers. This new feature allows users to apply node-level cost annotations, which Vantage then ingests to calculate pod-level costs, expanding its previous capability that was limited to public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. With this update, users gain enhanced cost visibility and efficiency analytics for on-prem Kubernetes environments, including reports on compute efficiency, idle costs, and workload utilization. Customers can also allocate costs by team or application using Cost Reports and Virtual Tags without requiring a version update. This development marks a significant enhancement over the previous need for extensive manual calculations and third-party tools for cost tracking in on-prem settings.
