Vantage Launches Financial Commitment Reports
Blog post from Vantage
Vantage has unveiled financial commitment reports aimed at assisting teams in comprehending their discounted coverage and effective savings rate as part of their FinOps practices, initially available for AWS with future expansions to Azure and GCP. These reports enable FinOps practitioners to apply custom filters and aggregations to analyze specific infrastructure views, helping manage commitments such as AWS Enterprise Discounts and demonstrate cloud cost optimization over time. Previously, users struggled to get a holistic view of their savings due to fragmented coverage data, but the new reports consolidate Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, and EDP discounts, allowing users to customize views by various dimensions and integrate the reports into dashboards for easier tracking. While currently limited to AWS, plans to support additional cost providers and features such as API integration, export capabilities, and enhanced utilization visibility are on the roadmap, providing a robust tool for users to manage cloud expenditures effectively.
