Vantage Launches Configurable X Axis for Cost Reports

Vantage has introduced a Configurable X Axis feature for its Cost Reports, allowing users to customize the X axis to display not just date, but also other dimensions such as service, provider, charge type, or team tags. This enhancement provides users with the flexibility to compare and analyze costs across various categories without needing to manually adjust their data, improving the utility of the reports for FinOps practitioners, finance teams, and engineers. The new feature is accessible through a "Chart Settings" dropdown in the Cost Report interface and is compatible with bar charts, although not with line, area, or pie charts. Available at no extra cost to all Vantage users, this feature facilitates tailored data visualization, enabling users to select up to 10 groupings for multi-bar charts and 20 for stacked bar charts, with the ability to export reports in various formats and add them to dashboards. While current configurability is limited to the user interface, support for API and Terraform integration is anticipated in the future.
