Vantage Launches Canvas: An AI-Enabled Business Intelligence Dashboard

Vantage has introduced Canvas, a customizable, AI-enabled dashboarding tool that allows users to create persistent and interactive reports through natural language prompts. The tool is designed to simplify and expedite the creation of custom reports by eliminating the need for in-depth knowledge of both reporting tools and datasets. Users can specify data sources, columns, and presentation formats, with the FinOps Agent pulling data from Vantage and supported MCPs to render the desired reports. Canvas, available to paying Vantage customers, particularly benefits executives and finance teams needing repeatable, leadership-ready reporting, and supports a variety of customizable formats, although initially limited to tabular displays. As a read-only feature, Canvas can integrate with third-party platforms in the future and includes API support, with plans for additional features like export functionality and Terraform support.
