Summary

Vantage has introduced a new feature allowing customers to access resource-level costs programmatically via an API, enhancing their existing capabilities with the addition of Resource Reports. These reports can be created, updated, and managed using the Vantage Query Language (VQL), which provides a SQL-like syntax for filtering cloud cost data across over 100 resources from eight different providers, such as AWS and Azure. This API development removes the prior limitation of only having view access to resource-level data and eliminates the need for manual CSV exports. Users can now dynamically generate Resource Reports via the new /resource_reports endpoint and access detailed, 30-day trailing cost data, all included in the Vantage subscription without additional costs. Furthermore, support for these new capabilities is available through the Vantage Terraform Provider, and API authentication is managed via API tokens with rate limits of 20 requests per minute.
