Vantage Expands AWS Rightsizing and Idle Recommendations

Vantage has expanded its rightsizing and idle recommendations for AWS resources, now supporting EC2, RDS, EBS, ECS, Lambda, and Auto-Scaling Groups (ASGs), significantly broadening its capacity to help customers optimize their cloud infrastructure. The enhanced recommendations include contextual CloudWatch metrics, such as CPU and memory utilization, and offer up to three potential resizing options that account for savings, performance risks, and migration efforts, enabling more informed decision-making. These updates address previous limitations, where recommendations were only available for EC2 with limited contextual metrics, requiring users to perform manual analysis. The new features are available at no additional cost and can be accessed within the Vantage console, providing detailed insights into usage trends and allowing users to compare pricing against recommended instance types. These improvements facilitate a more comprehensive approach to cloud cost management and optimization, benefiting any Vantage user who uses AWS as a provider.
