Vantage has introduced support for AWS Blended Commitment Discounts, which enables customers to evenly distribute commitment-based savings across all eligible AWS usage, creating a fair and consistent chargeback for different teams and workloads. This feature calculates an effective savings rate per service, allowing even application of discounts, which helps overcome the unpredictability of AWS's existing discount allocation, especially for Savings Plans that vary by usage type. With this update, Vantage customers with AWS integration can view accurate spending figures with discounts already applied in their cost reports, ensuring all internal teams benefit equally from commitment-based discounts. The feature is available at no additional cost and can be activated by contacting Vantage support.
