Vantage Adds Dynamic Cost Allocation: Allocate 100% of Shared Costs

Vantage has introduced Dynamic Cost Allocation, a feature that allows users to allocate shared costs to virtual tags based on proportions derived from business metrics or other costs within the Vantage platform, streamlining what was previously a manual process for FinOps analysts. This capability enables users to distribute costs such as AWS support fees among teams based on each team's contribution to the overall costs, enhancing visibility and efficiency. The feature is available to all Vantage customers at no additional cost and supports the allocation of both amortized and unamortized costs on a daily basis. Users can configure this feature through the Vantage Virtual Tag menu or via Terraform, with the flexibility to use custom business metrics for more tailored allocations.
