Upsun launches Upsun Dispatch™, the software factory for AI-human workflows
Blog post from Upsun
Upsun announced Upsun Dispatch on September 17, 2026, a cloud-based “software factory” intended to manage AI-human software development workflows through governed processes rather than individual developers’ local tools. The platform uses isolated sandboxes for AI agents and configurable workflows with approval gates, recording prompts, code changes, human decisions, usage, and costs for each run to improve oversight, coordination, and risk management. It launches with Automated Code Review and Issue-to-Code workflows, supports participation from engineering, product, design, security, and QA teams, and integrates with GitHub, GitLab, Linear, and Jira while remaining model- and stack-agnostic. Dispatch is designed to complement Upsun Cloud across the development lifecycle, from planning and coding through testing, deployment, and operations, and will be publicly available with a free tier providing 20 agent-minutes daily and usage-based paid plans supporting bring-your-own-model keys.
