UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein moves to Upsun

UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein, an independent national committee of UNICEF, transitioned its IT infrastructure to Upsun to enhance flexibility, reduce costs, and improve donor experiences. The move addressed challenges associated with outdated systems and time-consuming testing processes, facilitating a more agile workflow and a 60% reduction in costs. This transition supported the organization's digital transformation, including an upgrade from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8, while meeting GDPR compliance standards. Head of IT, Manfred Ruf, highlighted Upsun's reliability, cost-effectiveness, and superior customer support, which allowed for faster deployment of new services, critical in emergency situations. The adoption of Upsun also played a crucial role in the ongoing revision of UNICEF's donation and fundraising processes, which are set to integrate with Salesforce for enhanced donor interaction. The successful collaboration with Upsun has positioned UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein at the forefront of nonprofit digitization in Europe, enabling them to handle projects more efficiently and setting a benchmark for other organizations in the sector.
