Summary

Upsun Cloud has introduced built-in S3-compatible object storage for production projects, allowing applications to store large volumes of media, uploads, exports, backups, logs, and AI artifacts without relying on an external provider. Available through the Console or CLI, the service automatically creates a private bucket for each app, supplies credentials through environment variables, supports existing S3 APIs, SDKs, and AWS CLI tools using path-style addressing, and includes bucket data in environment backups and branch clones. Storage is intended for asset- and media-heavy applications, costs €0.0833 per allocated GB per month with a 512 GB minimum per environment, and incurs separate backup charges of €0.075 per GB monthly, while API requests have no additional fees. Buckets are accessible only through a project’s internal network, can be shared with other project containers, and do not support public file serving or several S3 features such as versioning, lifecycle policies, ACLs, and bucket policies. Billing continues while environments are paused, and disabling storage permanently deletes the bucket and its contents on the next deployment.
