Additionally, reproducibility depends on having immutable build artifacts and repeatable pipelines, ensuring that any environment runs the same setup sequence. Observability is crucial, requiring log and metric parity and predictable configurations to identify changes between environments. Reducing the "investigation gap" between alerting and bug inspection is possible with deterministic architectures defined by Infrastructure-as-Code. By versioning environment configurations alongside code, the phrase "it works on my machine" can reliably mean "it works in production."
