Summary

Upsun Cloud has introduced Log Explorer and the Log Analyzer Agent to centralize production-log investigation and provide AI-assisted diagnosis within project environments. Log Explorer automatically collects the previous 24 hours of application, access, cron, deployment, and platform logs from all containers, offering severity charts, structured-log inspection, filters, shareable URL views, and cross-service visibility without requiring SSH access or separate setup. The optional Log Analyzer Agent runs as a read-only task container within the project, using environment configuration, deployment history, a shallow code clone, and logs to identify likely root causes, prioritize findings, cite supporting log lines, and recommend corrective actions. It is configured through an Upsun task definition and an Anthropic or OpenAI API key, with users paying provider token costs and task-compute charges subject to a default $5 per-run budget cap. Upsun states that logs and source code are sent only to the AI provider selected by the customer, while existing forwarding to services such as Datadog or Splunk remains unaffected. Both features are available for Upsun Cloud projects in AWS and Google Cloud regions, excluding Azure, OVHcloud, and HIPAA projects.
