Built on Upstash for Redis, the @upstash/ratelimit library facilitates easy implementation of rate limiting for applications, particularly those running on stateless runtimes like serverless and edge environments. Enabling analytics is optional and does not affect application latency, and accessing the dashboard is free, with costs applying only to the underlying database used for storing limits and analytics data. Users can benefit from the free Redis tier that accommodates up to 10,000 requests per day, with affordable upgrade options available.
