Summary

Unified.to’s ATS API supports portable ingestion of candidates, jobs, and applications from connected applicant-tracking systems, but accurate talent-pool reporting requires storing these three entities separately and explicitly modeling applications as the links between people and jobs. Records should use their IDs as stable keys only within each connection, preserve normalized and provider-specific status information, and retain custom metadata and raw payloads where needed because ATS field coverage and data models vary widely. After an initial full load, teams can use supported `updated_gte` queries to retrieve changes incrementally, or use native or virtual webhooks for event-driven updates; Database Sync can also write changes directly to supported databases. Unified.to reads data from the source ATS and standardizes its model but does not merge duplicate identities, infer missing relationships, guarantee identical provider support, or reconstruct deletions that the source system does not expose, leaving deduplication and downstream modeling to the application layer.
