Unified.to’s Assessment API enables assessment and background-check providers to embed their packages within supported applicant tracking system assessment modules, allowing recruiters to order evaluations without leaving the ATS and providers to return results directly to candidate records. Available across assessment modules from ATS platforms including Ashby, Greenhouse, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Teamtailor, and others, the API uses a separate assessment-specific integration type and supports manually configured connections authenticated with Partner API Keys. Providers create and publish assessment packages, configure webhooks to receive recruiter-initiated orders, validate and process those orders, and update their status, scores, result links, structured feedback, and downloadable reports through a unified endpoint. Feature support varies by ATS, while Workable is generally available and many other integrations remain in beta as of October 2026. Unified.to does not retain assessment orders or results, instead transmitting updates to the source ATS while encrypting connection credentials and operational metadata. The embedded approach is intended for ATSs with supported assessment marketplaces, while status-triggered ATS API integrations provide a fallback for broader platform coverage.
