Global Blue leverages Tyk to enhance API governance and security

Global Blue, a prominent partner for the shopping journey across 52 countries, has adopted Tyk's API Gateway to enhance its API governance, security, and performance, thereby improving experiences for partners and engineering teams. By integrating Tyk into its infrastructure, Global Blue is able to manage multiple environments efficiently, supporting both internal and external traffic through a hybrid setup. Tyk plays a critical role in handling authentication, authorization, policy enforcement, and traffic management as Global Blue's infrastructure expands. The decision to use Tyk was influenced by its robust security features, flexibility, and performance capabilities, leading to the development of a centralized authentication and authorization system for secure communication between frontend and backend systems. Global Blue is also leveraging Tyk for centralized API documentation, versioning, and exporting analytics data to its corporate log management tool to monitor service usage and performance.
