Wave Accounting has won a developer contest with its Slick Presence Add-on, which allows business owners to connect directly with their accountants through the web service, utilizing Twilio's Presence feature to facilitate voice connections and discuss financials in real-time. The idea was born from a drink with Wave's cofounders, where Sean envisioned a seamless connection between business owners and their accountants, using Twilio Client as the solution and Twilio Presence as the missing piece of the puzzle. This addition is soon to be rolled out to Wave Accounting users, who will receive a new 11-inch Macbook Air and other goodies for participating in the contest.
