Google Reveals New Email Error Codes
Blog post from Twilio
Google has introduced a new set of six email error codes designed to help diagnose issues for senders who do not comply with its updated list of sender requirements. These error codes address various issues such as the absence of reverse DNS setup, SPF failures, lack of TLS connections, DKIM verification failures, missing DMARC policies, and misalignment of the From: header with authenticated domains. Accompanying this release, Google launched a compliance dashboard in March 2024, which allows senders to identify and rectify non-compliance issues before encountering these error codes. Assistance for understanding and implementing these new requirements is available through Twilio Professional Services.
