Announcing General Availability of <Start><Recording> for Voice Recording
Blog post from Twilio
Twilio has announced the general availability of a new TwiML feature, <Start><Recording>, which allows customers to initiate voice call recordings at any point during a TwiML workflow. This feature provides the flexibility to start recording inbound or outbound calls immediately, without relying on callbacks from the Recordings resource, and supports asynchronous recording through the <Recording> noun. The new feature integrates seamlessly with other TwiML verbs like <Dial>, <Conference>, and <Gather>, offering enhanced capabilities for applications such as dual-channel recordings and Conversational Intelligence. Priced the same as existing call recording methods, <Start><Recording> aims to support a variety of use cases, including regulatory compliance and quality assurance, by enabling users to capture and analyze call audio efficiently in conjunction with additional Twilio features.
