Build a Fortune-Telling Bot for Lunar New Year with Twilio Functions

To celebrate Lunar New Year, Twilio Evangelist Lizzie Siegle hosted a stream where she and Diane Phan built an app to deliver fortunes based on users' zodiac animals. They used Twilio Functions to create a bot that sends text messages with predictions for the new year. The project uses if/else statements to match each user's input (a zodiac animal) with a unique fortune. Once deployed, users can send their zodiac animal as an SMS to receive their predicted fortune for 2022. This project is reusable and can be used every Lunar New Year, making it a fun tradition. With Twilio Functions, users can build and deploy creative projects quickly by writing a bit of TwiML and JavaScript.
