Lookup SMS Pumping Risk Score is now Generally Available

Twilio has announced the general availability of Lookup SMS Pumping Risk Score, a tool designed to identify behaviors associated with SMS pumping fraud. This type of fraud involves bad actors exploiting mobile number fields on apps and websites to receive one-time passcodes or app download links via SMS, inflating traffic and generating revenue for themselves. The Lookup SMS Pumping Risk Score provides a risk score indicating the likelihood of a phone number being involved in such fraudulent activities, allowing businesses to make informed decisions about whether to permit or block traffic from specific numbers. This tool complements Twilio's existing solutions, Verify Fraud Guard and SMS Pumping Protection for Twilio Programmable Messaging, to mitigate the impact of SMS pumping fraud.
