Twilio is announcing the General Availability of its Functions and Assets offerings, which are part of its Serverless on Twilio solutions. Functions allow users to host their Node.js application logic with Twilio, while Assets enable storage of static files such as audio files for phone calls or Flex Plugins directly in Twilio's infrastructure. The General Availability marks an extension of the 99.95% service level agreement to authoring and deployment of Functions and Assets, as well as the Serverless API. Users are encouraged to transition from classic versions of Functions and Assets to take advantage of the SLA and other improvements. Recent changes include new documentation, Runtime Handler versions, a central navigation for Functions and Assets, and an Assets Plugin. Twilio is now inviting users to try out its Functions and Assets offerings with a Quick Deploy application.
