The Twilio Developer Evangelism team has developed a new sponsorship framework to help events become more inclusive, representative, and accessible. This framework is designed to streamline the process of evaluating event plans for sponsorship, taking into account minimum efforts and advanced efforts that promote diversity and inclusion. The framework was created through community contributions and collaboration with underrepresented developer communities. It provides a thoughtfully curated collection of efforts that can make events more inclusive, and allows organizers to request additional information on implementing these efforts. The goal of the framework is to shoulder some of the mental labor required to put on more inclusive events, and its development has already received positive feedback from organizers who appreciate the recognition of their efforts.
