Twilio has introduced Twilio Connect, a new set of features and APIs that simplify the integration of Twilio services into apps by allowing developers to delegate billing for usage-based transactions to customers' Twilio accounts. This eliminates the need for end-users to provide account credentials or sign up for phone numbers, call minutes, and text messages within the app. Twilio Connect consists of a Connect App created in the dashboard and a Connect Button placed on websites to authorize access to another user's Twilio account. The authorization process allows developers to request different levels of permissions, such as read-only access or charging the account for usage, without requiring users to provide sensitive information. Four launch partners, including MuleSoft and Mobile Commons, are already using Twilio Connect in their applications. Developers can learn more about Twilio Connect by checking out the documentation or starting with the Quickstart guide.
