Twilio has announced Voice Insights for Carrier Calls, a new feature that enables end-to-end call quality monitoring for carrier calls. With this feature, developers can now monitor the quality of calls on carrier networks around the world in real-time, providing insights into network metrics, telephony events, and end-users' carrier information. This allows for faster diagnosis of obscure issues affecting call quality and provides visibility into telephony events and network metrics, including jitter, packet loss, and packets sent and received. The feature also offers aggregate dashboards to show call quality metrics grouped by mobile operators, and will provide call quality by specific phone numbers, countries, and area codes in an upcoming release.
