Twilio.org has launched the Twilio.org Impact Fund, a program that provides funding to nonprofits and social enterprises using communications tools to deliver impact. The fund aims to maximize the impact of these organizations by giving them access to the necessary tools to serve their communities effectively. This initiative is supported by various partners, including Omidyar Network, Kapor Capital, Village Capital, Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, Fast Forward Accelerator, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The fund will support eight nonprofits in their first year, with a focus on scaling impact across these organizations. Some of the featured recipients include CareMessage, OpenGov Foundation, Mission Asset Fund, Fast Forward, Democracy Works, Trek Medics, Lesbians Who Tech, and #YesWeCode, which will use the funding to expand their services, accelerate training programs, and increase representation in the tech community.
