Programmable Toll-Free Phone Numbers with Lower Cost Minutes
Blog post from Twilio
Twilio has introduced lower-cost programmable toll-free phone numbers in the US and Canada, allowing businesses to use these numbers for both inbound marketing campaigns and routing return calls to contact centers or IVRs. With this new pricing, voice calls received on toll-free numbers will cost $0.0220 per minute, down from $0.0264, while outgoing calls made using toll-free numbers will cost $0.0130 per minute, down from $0.0156. Businesses can easily provision these numbers through Twilio's Developer Console or programmatically using the phone number API. The new pricing is part of ongoing efforts to optimize underlying costs and pass savings on to customers.
