Summary

Twilio`, the popular communication platform, was almost named `TPhoney.com` or `Ringpig.com`. The company's co-founder Jeff Lawson had sent a list of potential names to his partner John Wolthuis in 2007. Some of these alternative names, such as `Teldigo.com` and `Pigtone.com`, are still available online today. However, the name `Twilio.com` stuck, and it has become synonymous with the company's services. Despite this, it would have been interesting to see a pig-themed API in action, sending HTTP requests over the internet.
