Sync is a purpose-built API for synchronizing state across devices and between users, announced in 2016 as a developer preview, with the aim of simplifying real-time presence management. The Sync API will be made available to developers attending SIGNAL London, where they can hack on it. This event aims to help attendees build features for their users by taking care of all state management in the cloud. The technology has already been proven at scale as the real-time engine behind Twilio IP Messaging.
