The Twilio team is warning customers to disable Secure Sockets Layer (SSLv3) protocol on their hosts due to a vulnerability that affects the protocol level, urging them to upgrade to Transport Layer Service (TLS) as soon as possible. The vulnerability was reported in October 2014 and will be discontinued for Twilio services on October 22nd at 9am PDT / 1600 UTC. Customers are encouraged to disable SSLv3 and upgrade to TLS to mitigate the risk, with resources provided by Twilio and an external guide available for assistance.
