TechStars is launching its first international branch in London, in partnership with Springboard, and is now accepting applications for its accelerator program. The program will run from July 2nd to September 27th and will provide $118,000 in funding to selected startups, as well as access to APIs like Twilio, SendGrid, Google, Rackspace, and others. The decision to team up was inspired by meetings between TechStars CEO David Cohen and Springboard CEO Jon Bradford, who discussed mentorship for early stage startups and the philosophy of "giving back" to the community. Submissions are open from March 16th through May 5th, and accepted startups will also receive promotional support to get up and running. The program aims to support new startups and give them the resources they need to grow.
