The next generation of Turso Cloud is (almost) here: Now in Private Beta

Turso Cloud is launching a private beta for its next-generation database solution, designed to meet the needs of AI agents by offering a fast, isolated, and scalable database layer. Traditional database models, which rely on centralized, long-running databases, are inadequate for managing the parallel operations of numerous AI agents, each requiring independent, durable storage. Recognizing SQLite's benefits but also its limitations, such as lack of concurrent writes and native encryption, Turso Cloud has been reimagining SQLite into a more robust system named Turso. This new offering will allow high-concurrency writes, unlimited database provisioning, and strong encryption within users' own cloud accounts. The private beta aims to attract teams at the forefront of AI development, particularly those dealing with distributed systems, edge-first applications, and latency-sensitive data access. Turso Cloud emphasizes data security and user control while promising a seamless transition for existing users and a focus on real-world validation before a wider release.
